La Ship for World Youth Alumni Association
Venezuela (SWYAAV) o Asociación
de Ex-Participantes del Barco para los Jóvenes
del Mundo reúne, como su nombre lo
indica, a todos aquéllos venezolanos que han
participado alguna vez en el Barco
para los Jóvenes del Mundo (SWY), un programa
de intercambio cultural auspiciado por el gobierno
de Japón.
La actividad principal llevada a cabo por los miembros
de la SWYAAV es mantener toda la información
de los ex-participantes (EXPYs) actualizada y disponible.
También se encarga de preparar a los nuevos
participantes antes de que vayan al viaje. Aunque
Venezuela tiene alrededor 100 Ex-participantes, los
miembros activos de la SWYAAV son mucho menos. Una
de las razones principales es que un número
considerable de EXPYs está viviendo fuera del
país, estudiando o trabajando en diversas compañías
y organizaciones.

The Ship for World Youth Alumni Association
Venezuela groups, as its name implies, all
venezuelan ex-participating youths (EXPYs) of the
Ship for World Youth (SWY),
an international exchange program supported by the
Government of Japan.
The main activity held by the members of the SWYAAV
is to keep all the EXPYs information upgraded and
available. Also, to prepare the new participants before
they go to the journey. Even though Venezuela has
around 100 Ex-participants, the active members of
the SWYAAV are far less. One of the main reasons is
that a considerable number of EXPYs are living outside
the country, studying or working in multiple conpanies
and organizations.
