El 21st Century Renaissance Youth Leaders
Invitation Program (Programa Renacimiento
Siglo XI de Invitación a Jóvenes Líderes
o REN) se implementó como
un seguimiento a los 40 años de Historia de
programas de intercambio internacional, iniciados
en 1959 por el Gobierno Japonés para conmemorar
el matrimonio de Su Majestad, el Emperador.
El REN se propone como una iniciativa innovadora
para abrir una puerta al nuevo siglo.
Jóvenes de diversos países del mundo
que estén tomando parte activa en áreas,
como negocios, educación y desarrollo juvenil
son invitados a Japón para participar en el
21st Century Renaissance Youth Leaders Invitation
Program.
A través de numerosas actividades con jóvenes
japoneses, se busca:
* Mejorar el entendimiento de Japón por parte
de los participantes foráneos
* Promover lazos de amistad y comprensión mutua
entre los jóvenes de los distintos países,
incluído Japón
* Ampliar la perspectiva internacional de los jóvenes
japoneses
* Fomentar el espíritu de cooperación
internacional, paz contínua y prosperidad mutua.
* Elevar las habilidades prácticas de los participantes
para ser parte activa en el área de la cooperación
internacional.
Como resultado, se espera que los participantes
muestren su liderazgo en las diferentes áreas
de un mundo globalizado, además de tomar roles
activos en actividades de desarrollo juvenil.
Venezuela en el REN
Venezuela ha sido invitada en dos ocasiones, en el
2001 (REN '01) y en el 2004 (REN '04).

The 21st Century Renaissance Youth Leaders
Invitation Program (REN)
was implemented as a follow up of the 40-year history
of international youth exchange programs, which were
began by the Japanese Government in 1959 to commemorate
the marriage of H.I.M. the Emperor.
The REN is proposed as an innovative enterprise
to open a door to the new century.
Youths who are taking active roles in various fields,
from business to education to youth development, and
who live in different parts of the world are invited
to Japan to participate in the 21st Century Youth
Leaders Invitation Program.
By providing a wide range of activities
with Japanese youths, we seek to:
* Promote understanding towards Japan for the overseas
participants
* Promote mutual friendship and understanding among
the youths from Japan and the respective countries
* Broaden the international outlook of the Japanese
youths
* Foster the spirit of international cooperation,
continuous peace and prosperity
* Elevate the participant's abilities to be part of
the field of international cooperation.
As a result of this program, participants are expected
to show leadership in different areas of a globalized
world and to take an active function in youth development
activities.
Venezuela in the REN program
Venezuela has been invited to the REN program twice,
in 2001 (REN '01), and again in 2004 (REN '04).
